VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE

KAIROS PRISON MINISTRIES

  • Participate in semi-annual three day weekend program and monthly Saturday visitation with inmates at the George Beto Men’s Prison in Palestine, TX offering fellowship and encouragement.
  • Residents of correctional institutions are given the opportunity to experience a religious renewal and to accept God’s call to a life of Christian witness and service to one another during their stay in the institution and beyond.

CHILD EVANGELISM FELLOWSHIP – GOOD NEWS CLUB

  • Participate in after school program for first through fifth grade students teaching Bible lessons, scripture verses,
  • Good News Clubs provide opportunity for children in the public schools to hear the Gospel.
  • Good News Clubs offers creative learning activities through music and inspiring missionary stories.
  • God News Club also teaches respect for authority, moral values, character and biblical principals.

SMALL GROUP BIBLE STUDY LEADER

  • Facilitate and teach group of individuals of various denominations focusing on encouragement and making disciples for Jesus Christ.  Group participates in bible study and community work.

MISSIONS

  • Participated in foreign mission trips to San Pedro Sula, Honduras and Rio Bravo Orphanage in Reynosa, Mexico as well as local domestic inter-city missions work with World Impact Dallas and Missions Arlington.        

REAL CHOICES CRISIS PREGNANCY CENTER                               

  • Volunteer as men’s ministry coordinator and volunteer counselor. 
  • Counsel with men going through life changes; speak at churches and community organizations to inform the community about the services offered at Real Choices.
  • Volunteer Speaker promoting Real Choices to churches and in the community and offering volunteer opportunities.  Also speak on men’s involvement and participation in the ministry.
  •  “Walk for Life” Coordinator

STEPHENS MINISTRIES

  • Volunteer as a Stephen Ministry care giver providing one-on-one Christian care by walking with individuals going through a difficult period in their lives.  Meet weekly with assigned individuals.
  • Meet twice monthly for peer supervision and continuing education to ensure that we are providing the best quality Christian care for our care receivers.
